Join Vineyard Conservation Society and Featherstone Center for the Arts for a collaborative winter walk and nature-inspired creative expression. Free and open to all!
Two walks will be taking place on the surrounding trails around Featherstone's campus - a shorter option for those who would like to participate in a nature-based art project with Featherstone's Children's Art instructor Coral Shockey, and a longer loop for those who would rather stick to walking. This all-ages event will be from 10AM to Noon, and as always, cookies and cider afterward! (Also, join us for a nature themed show in the Francine Kelly Gallery later in the day - the opening reception of "Feather and Stone" from 4-6PM). Featherstone's 6.5-acre facility is adjacent to 234 acres of Land Bank holdings at the Southern Woodlands (conserved in 2004), one of the last large undeveloped pieces of land in Oak Bluffs as well as the 18 acre Featherstone Farm. |
