Ann Smith Executive Director Ann joined Featherstone in 2007 and was named the Executive Director in September 2010. Ann is also the Chair of the Arts Martha's Vineyard Steering Committee, the Island's arts and culture collaborative organization. Since October 2010, Ann serves as the leader, planner and collaborator for year round arts programming and cultural events creative economy marketing campaigns. In May 2015, Ann received the Massachusetts Tourism Award. The award is given to those who exemplify the best in tourism and hospitality throughout Massachusetts. The Permanent Endowment for Martha's Vineyard honored Ann and her mother, Francine Kelly, with the Creative Living Award celebrating those who embody the spirit and love for Martha's Vineyard. Ann has served on the boards of the Oak Bluffs Association and New England Foundation for the Arts. She is currently a board member for the MV Non Profit Collaborative and a corporator for MV Bank. Ann is a graduate of the University of Michigan with degrees in Economics and in History of Art and received a Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the Institute for Nonprofit Practice, in affiliation with Tufts University's Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life.
Posie Haeger Director of Programming and Communications Posie was hired as Director of Development in 2015, a newly created position to help launch a capital campaign for Featherstone. Here role has since shifted to programming, communications and outreach. Posie brings experience in non profit marketing and development from other Island organizations, the Martha's Vineyard Museum and the Vineyard Nursing Association. She has a background in strategic planning and corporate events that she developed while working at Siemens Corporation in New York City. Her committee and volunteer work include MVCS's Possible Dreams Auction Committee, SailMV's Vineyard Cup, the Edgartown Board of Trade's MV Food & Wine Festival and foundation volunteer work in NYC. Posie grew up on Martha's Vineyard and is a graduate of MVRHS. She received a B.S. in Community Development and Applied Economics from the University of Vermont and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the Institute for Nonprofit Practice, in affiliation with Tufts University's Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life.
