Crushed Stone Inlay Workshop with Ivry Russillo
​Day: Saturday & Sunday
Dates: November 14 & 15 // November 21 & 22
Time: 12:00PM - 3:00PM each day (total 6 hours)
Location: Jewelry Studio
Fee:  $150 for the two day workshop, includes materials fee. Minimum age 18. *Please see dress code below.

​Students will be working with a 1" x 1” square piece of sterling silver to construct a wearable pendant.
This class covers design transfer, hand sawing, use of drill, marriage of metals and soldering. A great introduction to jewelry fabrication for all levels welcome. The use of crushed stone inlay will be demonstrated on how to add color to your piece without the difficultly of stone setting itself. A mixture of powdered stones and chips from turquoise, malachite, lapis lazuli, coral and black onyx will be set and sanded flush within the design that has been cut out in your pendant. Finished by some polishing and cleaning when completed. Only materials provided will be allowed to use. Total class time is 6 hours.

Silversmithing: Custom Ring with Jamie Hathaway
​Day: Tuesdays
Dates: March 10, 17, 24, 31
Time: 5:00PM - 8:00PM
Location: Jewelry Studio
Fee:  $240 for 4 week course plus $50 materials fee. Minimum age 14. *Please see dress code below.

Learn how to create a beautiful one of a kind ring in this 4 week course. Learn silversmithing skills, master the jewelers saw, get creative with texturing and gain soldering skills. Learn stone setting and finish a unique ring. Bring your own stone, fossil, shell, etc, or choose from your teachers selection. Feel free to email Jamie with any questions.

Solder & Bezel Set a Sea Glass Charm or Pendant with Cecilia Minnehan
Day: Tuesdays (special Saturday class offered on March 14th*)
Dates: January 28 // February 11 // March 3, (*Saturday March 14), 17

(This class is offered every other week and rotates with "Soldering Stackable Rings"). ​
Time: 9:00AM - 1:00PM
Fee: $110.00, all class materials included. Minimum age 14. *Please see dress code below.

In one 4-hour class you will create and complete a beautiful custom sterling charm or pendant from our collection of colorful beach glass pieces appropriate for a beginner level. (Must have completed the 5-week soldering 101 class If you wish to use your own beach glass piece).
Metalsmithing skills covered in this class:
  • Soldering safety and how to light up a torch.
  • Soldering
  • Forming a bezel
  • Setting a beach glass in your hand made bezel
  • Proper use of a flexible shaft
  • Polishing options

Soldering Stackable Rings 
with Cecilia Minnehan
Day: Tuesdays 
Dates: February 4, 18 // March 10
(This class is offered every other week and rotates with "Sea Glass Pendant").
Time: 9:00AM - 1:00PM
Location: Jewelry Studio
Fee: $110 per class, includes all materials. 
No previous experience required. Minimum age 14. *Please see dress code below.

In this 4 hour class you will learn the fundamentals of soldering and be able to complete at least 2 stackable rings. Take additional classes to grow your collection!
Metal Smithing skills covered in this class:
  • Soldering safety and how to light up a torch.
  • Soldering
  • Forming a ring
  • Proper use of a jewelers saw
  • Setting a stone in a pre-made bezel
  • Polishing options

Intro to Forging: Cuff Bracelet with Cecilia Minnehan
Day: Wednesdays
Dates: January 29 // February 12 // March 4, 18
(This class is offered every other week and rotates with "Hoop Earrings").
Time: 2:00PM - 5:00PM
Location: Jewelry Studio
Fee: $80 per class, includes all materials
No previous experience required. Minimum age 14. *Please see dress code below.

Want to learn how to make your own forged cuff bracelet? In this 3 hour workshop by Cecilia Minnehan, from Cecilia Designs, you will learn how to forge/hammer a round wire into the shape or design you would like. You will learn how to light up the torch and anneal the wire in between the forging. You will also learn about tumble finishing for a smooth bright finish or options for a matte finish. This is a perfect introduction to an important skill for making jewelry.
Metalsmithing skills covered in this class:
  • Forging
  • Proper procedures for using a torch
  • Annealing
  • Sanding / finishing / polishing options

Hoop Earrings with Cecilia Minnehan
Day: Wednesdays
Dates: February 5 // February 19 // March 11
(This class is offered every other week and rotates with "Forging Cuff Bracelets").
Time: 2:00PM - 5:00PM

No previous experience required. Minimum age 14. *Please see dress code below.

Have fun creating your own hoop earrings - keep it simple with a classic circle or create something unique! In this 3-hour workshop with Cecilia Minnehan, from Cecilia Designs you will learn how to forge/hammer a round wire into the shape or design you would like.  You will also learn about tumble finishing for a smooth bright finish or options for a matte finish. The manipulating of wire is a perfect introduction to an important skill for making jewelry. 
No previous experience required. Open to students of any level.

Enameling: Glass on Metal with Lucinda Sheldon 
​Day: Thursdays
Dates: Classes will resume beginning March 5th
Time: 1:00PM - 4:00PM
Location: Jewelry Studio
Fee: $80 per class, includes most materials.  Wooden boxes, copper bowls and silver at additional cost. Minimum age 14. *Please see dress code below.

Come learn something new in the New Year!  Try your hand at Enameling, an ancient art form applying powdered glass to metal and firing it to fusing in a kiln or with a torch. Explore the techniques of sifting, stenciling, stamping, scaffito, cloisonne and more. Each week learn something new and create your own one of a kind piece of artwork from jewelry to art pieces.

Beading: The Art of Knotting with Lucinda Sheldon
Day: Mondays 
Dates:
Classes will resume this spring
Time: 1:00PM - 3:00PM
Location: Jewelry Studio 
Fee: $50 includes materials
No previous experience required, ages 13+ welcome.
                  
Come experiment with beads and learn the art of knotting with Lucinda Sheldon. Techniques taught include choosing appropriate stringing materials, finishing techniques, the classic technique of pearl and bead knotting, wire twisting and basic design. Stringing materials and a variety of gemstone and other unique beads included but students can also bring their own if they wish.

Workshop: Soldering Skills (101/102) with Cecilia Minnehan
Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Dates: Session 1: January 21, 22, 23 // Session 2: February 25, 26, 27 
Time: 10:00AM - 3:30PM each day (includes 30 minute lunch break each day)
Location: Jewelry Studio
Fee:  $350 for 3 day workshop (15 hours), includes all materials.
Minimum age 14. *Please see dress code below.

This 3 day accelerated workshop with Cecilia Minnehan from Cecilia Designs is designed for beginner to intermediate students.
As a beginner, you will learn everything you wanted to know about hard soldering. As an intermediate student, you will have the opportunity to advance your skills and knowledge and learn new techniques. 
Metalsmithing skills covered in this class:
  • Soldering station: torch set-up; types of solder and their purpose; soldering wires, jump rings, earring posts, bezel wire.
  • Annealing; How to manipulate metal - bending, folding, twisting, hammering, piercing sanding filling & how all those pieces will solder together.
  • How to prepare your metals for soldering & how to solder different thicknesses to each other.
  • Piercing / sanding / finishing / polishing options
  • Learning to use the flexible shaft
  • Bezel making
  • Stone setting

This is a project based class and you will be able to focus on whatever interests you the most. We will work with copper, brass and sterling.
Please bring reading glasses if you use them! Open to students of any level, Beginners welcome! No previous experience required.
