Here Comes the Sun: The Color Yellow  |  March 22 – April 12
*The opening reception for The Yellow Show has been cancelled in light of current circumstances/COVID-19. We will still be accepting artwork Monday & Tuesday March 16 & 17 and creating an online gallery to share with our community.
In March, we are all craving more warmth and sunshine, seems only fitting to bring some brightness to the Francine Kelly Gallery! Yellow will be featured as our color show this year. Yellow stands for hope, positivity, clarity, energy, optimism and enlightenment. According to numerous studies, yellow helps activate the memory, encourage communication, enhance vision, build confidence and stimulate the nervous system. So as we enter a new decade, let's turn on the lights and spread a little JOY! After all, who doesn't smile when they think of Big Bird, Marilyn Monroe, glowing sunsets and lemons?! Artists may submit up to three NEW pieces in any medium, not previously shown at Featherstone.
For Artists:
Drop off: Monday & Tuesday, March 16 & 17 from 10AM-4PM each day

Martha's Vineyard: The Way We See It with Guest Curators Vineyard Colors  |  April 19 – May 3 *ONLINE*
Every day we are enthralled with the majesty of our Island thanks to the beautifully captured scenes by Vineyard Colors. The very talented couple that make up Vineyard Colors - Yann and Moira - will curate a love story of Martha's Vineyard by artists from all over the world who are moved by their photographs. We are inviting you to create an original work of art inspired by any one of their photos that are published daily on their Vineyard Colors Facebook page. We hope to showcase Martha's Vineyard from all over the world!
For Artists:
Up to three pieces can be submitted per artist. For each piece, please include: a photo of the piece and a copy of the Vineyard Colors photo that inspired it (contact Vineyard Colors if you need help finding it. Include the title, medium and size of the piece. Please include a short bio of the artist and, if any, their connection to Martha's Vineyard. Each piece will be exhibited next to a copy of the Vineyard Color photo that inspired it!
