A Conversation with Dr. Madeleine Haddon, Curator of V&A East, on the Future of Museums
Date: Monday, August 11th, 2025 Time: 4:00PM Location: Francine Kelly Gallery at Featherstone Center for the Arts Fee: Free Join Dr. Madeleine Haddon, Curator of V&A East, for a conversation about the future of museums and the vision behind V&A East, the newest campus of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Dr. Haddon will also speak about her current research project on the global history of carnival. Dr. Haddon is Curator of V&A East, the newest campus of the Victoria & Albert Museum, which opened V&A East Storehouse in May 2025. Prior to joining V&A East, Dr. Haddon has held positions at The Museum of Modern Art, Hispanic Society Museum & Library, The Frick Collection, and Princeton University Art Museum. She has served on advisory committees for Harvard Art Museums, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, CORA Foundation, and Photo London. She is a patron of The National Gallery and the Serpentine Galleries. Dr. Haddon received her PhD from Princeton University, where she received a Fulbright Award in support of her research, and her BA in History of Art from Yale University. Dr. Haddon joins us in conjunction with the exhibition Interiority, on view from July 27 until August 17 in the Francine Kelly Gallery at Featherstone. |
