This is LOMOGRAPHY at its purest!  A terrific introduction to classic black & white film photography, negative development and traditional gelatin silver printing for creative teens through adults.

Students receive their very own Holga medium format camera (to keep) and a roll of 120 Kodak Tri-X film to shoot each week.  The 8 class sessions are devoted to the darkroom fundamentals of film negative development and printing contact sheets and working prints (up to 8x10).  Repeating students, if any, can move on their own track to 11 x 14 fine printing.

Students are free to pursue subjects and themes that interest them most, while discussion in class ranges from composition, exposure, capture technique, multiple exposure, judging light, visualization and contrast & tone controls.

Chemistry and enlarging equipment is provided.  The lab fee covers the cost of the camera, film, printing paper and negative storage.
