Art for art’s sake!

This class is an introductory course in painting for students who want to develop their painting skills with either oils or acrylics. This class will be geared towards developing the student’s comfort with the materials and methods of painting via class demonstrations and one on one instruction while painting from still life.  The students will be encouraged to make art by learning to trust their own instincts and dispel the little voice that so many students (unfortunately) have that says they “are not any good so they can’t paint.”

Materials List: canvas board or canvas paper to paint on, 3 to 4 brushes between the range of 4 to 10, palette for mixing paints, paints required in either oils or acrylics: Blue, Red, Yellow, Black and White and a palette knife.
